I love winter mornings when there's a thin layer of frost on everything. It's like the world has gone gray scale or at least all the colors have been muted.
I'm weird that way.

Death to the Low-Carb Fad!!!!!!

- Working in the restaurant/bar biz, I meet a *lot* of Atkins folks. There is one common denominator: Atkins dieters exhibit symptoms of senility.
- I'm serious. Short-term memory loss (they order, then don't remember ordering), aphasia (forget names of common objects, like "salt shaker" or "ice"), confusion (they forget where they are, or have trouble finding the sleeves of their coats when it's time to go).
- There must be *somebody* studying this stuff, but ask anybody in the food-service business: hard-core Atkins people are severely impaired on basic life competency skills. I think it's gotta be the lack of carbohydrates causing a loss of fuel to the brain cells. Your body *runs* on sugars, NOT just proteins.
